Information for Witnesses

Once a complaint is accepted by the UWC, an investigator will gather documents and conduct interviews as necessary to reach an understanding of the facts and circumstances surrounding the allegations of the complaint.  A UWC investigator may contact you to help in their investigation.  You may also be asked to appear at a hearing, where you may be asked questions by the hearing panel and by advisors to the parties involved. Yale strongly encourages witnesses to cooperate in formal proceedings, and those who do so must provide truthful information in all phases of the proceedings.
